PENGAHRUH PENYULUHAN HIV/AIDS TERHADA TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP REMAJA TERHADAP HIV/AIDS DI SMA NEGERI 2 KOTA BATAM TAHUN 2023

Abstrak

Background: AIDS or loss syndrome is a group of symptoms immune disease that attacks the immune system of the human body after ravaged by the HIV virus. HIV / AIDS has become a serious concern for every country in the world no one country can claim the country is free from HIV / AIDS. The development of HIV / AIDS cases in Indonesia has reached at an alarming rate. The spread of infection is predominant in the youth group because there is still a lack of knowledge and attitudes of adolescents about HIV / AIDS. So much needed counseling to improve knowledge and attitudes adolescents. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of education on HIV / AIDS to the level of knowledge and attitudes of adolescents on HIV / AIDS in SMA Negeri 2 Batam City in 2023.

Methods: The study design using pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest. Population of 102 samples taken by simple random sampling method. Respondents obtained the number of 85 persons with primary data collection method by filling the knowledge and attitude questionnaires. The research was conducted on July 29, 2023. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate frequency to determine the use of computerized Dependent t-test.

Results: The results with dependent t-test to test both knowledge and attitude shows that the value of p <0.05, which means there was an average difference significant knowledge and attitudes between the pre-test post-test respondents were given the extension.

Conclusions: (1) There is a positive effect of education on knowledge that can be said counseling about HIV / AIDS may increase adolescent knowledge about HIV / AIDS (2​​) There is a positive effect of education on attitudes that can be said of education about HIV / AIDS may increase adolescent attitudes about HIV / AI
